My commissioned pieces from Julian were intentionally chosen as Dream Portals to bring the peace, wonder, and joy I was seeking in my bedroom.

​When Julian first offered his work for sale I found a painting that I loved. The painting is unusual because of the technique Julian uses to move the paint around the canvas and bring the painting to life!

The second piece I brought from Julian incorporates all the colors of the pastoral environment in which it was created.

Both paintings bring joy to my soul and I am pleased to have them in my collection!

My wife Susan and I own a lot of art. In fact, so many pieces that we can no longer display more than half of them as we recently downsized from a very large house to a very small apartment. Much of our collection includes work from internationally recognized artists but among the original art that we chose to display are two wonderful paintings that we purchased from Julian Castro.

Julian’s painting is very special for me. He did a custom piece featuring a special story about my solo row across the Pacific in 2020. We auctioned it on social, with proceeds going to a nonprofit that I run. Then I was lucky enough that the winner gave me the painting, and it’s been on my wall ever since
