Some of my favorite paintings come from “mistakes” I never planned to make. I’ll have one vision in mind, accidentally stumble upon something else, and end up loving it even more.

Some of these “happy accidents” have evolved into entire bodies of work. My piece “Abyss” was born from a mistake and went on to influence future pieces including this piece, “Sweet Abyss,” and more paintings on the way.

This is true for so many inventions and art pieces that surround us daily—they came from someone “messing up” and discovering something beautiful instead.
