Cube 03
Sometimes I get ideas to make something… and if I’m lucky, those ideas come with an unstoppable creative urge to have them actually happen. This series of cubes is an example of that.
I saw them in my mind, and had to make them. I painted these cubes, and went on an adventure into the depths of Miami looking for scrap sheets of granite or marble. I found both, bought a chisel, and went to work assembling these.
What purpose do they serve? What purpose does any art serve? Its very existence is the purpose. Put this on your desk, coffee table, book shelf. Maybe even hang it on a wall.
