Hues of Blues
I had a random idea to make a diagonal, slightly concave painting. Just as most ideas come to me... randomly.I believe that the more you are using your creative muscle... that is, creating your ideas... the more you will be rewarded with good ideas. It’s like God or the universe or powers that be are looking at you saying “Yup, that one there can have the good ideas. They’ll make them real.”
I hand-built this frame so that the canvas is curved out like a curved TV. I wanted to help create a sense of being enveloped and drawn into the piece. For the color gradient and textured effect, I used a 3-foot wide brush that I also built myself to create this swipe effect, as I like to call it.
